@TK10815 holds his find in Brooklyn at The Exley
Today “S” author Doug Dorst tweeted this fantastic news…
5 signed copies of S. have been hidden around the country. Today I’ll be dropping hints about one in NYC. If you find it, send me a picture!

Twitter fan @TK10815 made it to the location and, after some concern and wandering, managed to locate the autographed copy, which he promptly donated to @CancerGetsLOST. Here are the clues Doug Dorst left in chronological order.

S fans quickly deduced that the the location was in Brooklyn. The picture and Watertown clues led to Frederick Exley, an author who once lectured at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop (where Doug Dorst attended and graduated). In Brooklyn, within the borders provided by the map, is the Exley Bar. @TK10815 arrived quickly, became a bit discouraged in his hunt, but eventually found the autographed copy of S.
On December 17, the trickier clues moved onto Boston. After a tough day of puzzle solving, S.leuthers managed to lead @JoeyWanKenobi to the copy on the campus of MIT.

On December 18, the S.earch moved to Los Angeles. By the end of the day, @TK10815 managed to find his second copy – one on each coast – alongside @comixguru. He donated both books to @CancerGetsLOST.

On December 19, San Francisco became the lucky site of the next hunt. User @jopinionated found it and also made sure it made its way into the hangs of @CancerGetsLOST.
